In the past 7 years of farming I have learned so much about growing excellent cut flowers. Growing in Florida can be challenging but I've learned so much about growing in this climate and I'm so excited to share my knowledge with you! I believe there should be more local organic flowers and everyone should have their very own flower cutting garden. It's better for the environment, the pollinators and it brings so much beauty and joy to your home!
In this workshop you will learn the entire process of growing flowers from seed to bloom. We will cover preparing your garden beds, selecting the right seeds, seeding , planting, irrigation, ammendments and finally harvesting for long lasting blooms. I have simplified the process to make it super easy and you will be guided step by step! Whether you're a beginner or have some experience, this workshop is designed to cater to all skill levels.
You will be provided with seeds, soil mix and seed trays to seed your own flowers to take home. You'll also be given flower seedlings that are ready to go into your garden right away.
We will also go on a farm walk where I will teach you about the flowers that I have in the ground and you're free to ask any questions. Additionally, you'll have the chance to connect with fellow flower enthusiasts and share your passion for all things floral.

What to bring: We will do a tour of the farm which is in full sun so definitely wear a hat, sunscreen and closed toed shoes. Most of the workshop will be in the shade under the covered barn. Bring water to stay hydrated and a notebook and pen to take lots of notes. We provide a detailed handout, everything you need to seed your own flowers and a 6 pack of flower plants to bring home.
